Weekend Golf

Though I did not grow up playing golf, it has become one of my favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors in the last few years. I was able to learn pre-kids, which gave me a lot more time to dedicate to it. Now I get out when I can and soak up the time away doing something active and fun. Matt and I use it as a date in the summer months and though our games are not always where we want them to be, it is a great way to spend time together away from the kids.

The fashion can be less than great when it comes to golf. I usually go for a simple sporty look, black and white. But recently I have gotten really into dresses for golf. The hemlines are longer than their tennis counterparts, but still a little sassy for the links. You can tailor them a bit too for your frame.

From Left:
This white drop waist dress is adorable. Nike $114
Love this classic black dress. Puma $60
I own this Smashing Golf dress and it is beyond comfortable. $135
The bright color and piping is cute on this Lole dress. $60

And in case you were wondering, all of these dresses come with little shorts. Makes it easy to maneuver without getting to fresh.

Happy Weekend. Swing easy if you are golfing this weekend.

Summer Kicks

I am a pretty dedicated Havianas girl in the summer. So easy to slip on and they never bother my feet. But, sometimes you need to cover up, walk a little longer, or hide the fact that you are between pedicures. Considering that Keds are making a comeback, I think it is time for some summer sneakers.

1. Soft suede in chic black by Emerson Frye $185
2. I own these and love them. Comes in a ton of colors. Bensimon $55
3. Minty fresh and comfy. Superga $65
4. I mean, they are classic and in eyelet so sweet. Keds $49
5. A cross between the classic Chuck and a boat shoe by Converse $49
6. Retro fun by Nike $85
7. Canvas skimmers lined in gold by Tory Burch $94 (on sale)
8. These remind me of college, and I like it. Puma $64

Grown Up Back to School

This time of year I get a bit jealous of kids going back to school. Though it was always sad to have summer over, the anticipation of a new year and the newness of your next grade was always fun. I really loved high school and would do it all over again. I would love to repeat more so that I could enjoy it even more and not worry about that nonsense that keeps you from truly enjoying the present.

So at the risk of being totally cliche and posting about Back to School looks, I really just found some fun pieces to bring us back. Just a little.

Striped notepads from Kate Spade ($12)
Warby Parker ($95) specs (wish I never got Lasik, so I could have these)
Minty Nike running shoes ($153)
Sequin running shorts from TopShop ($120)
The lovely Garance Dore for Kate Spade iPhone cover ($40)
Coated sleeved fitted denim jacket by J Brand ($260)
Illustrated city calendar from Anthropologie ($24)
White rubber and gold watch from eWatches ($139)
