Birchbox

It seems that the product subscription business is everywhere. From flowers, to baby gear, to celebrity favorites, for a price you can receive a box of goodies every month in any form you would like. Since my product obsession borders on crazy, Birchbox seemed to be my next try in the "of-the-month" club. Plus, in October they partnered with Goop and we all know how I feel about Gwyneth. 

Birchbox is $10 a month, you can choose to try it out for just a month or commit to longer. It gives the opportunity to try a product and then visit their site to purchase, usually at a discounted price. If you travel, the sizes that everything comes in is perfect. 

The October Goop box included a mini bottle of Malin + Goetz peppermint shampoo, that smells so yummy. A little Jouer lip enhancer that is super moisturizing and has a glossy finish. Two samples of Supergoop SPF 30 serum which I have been wanting to try. A Luna fiber bar was an interesting addition. And lastly a full size bottle of Essie in Master Plan.  

It is a great Fall color. 

So now you know what to expect if you sign up for Birchbox. I am still up in the air on how long I want this delivered to my door. It could help my obsession or just make it worse!

Stork Stack

While moms always enjoy receiving something from their registries, sometimes it is nice to receive something totally unexpected and original. 

I was lucky to receive a subscription to Stork Stack and have loved the monthly deliveries from this fun company. 

Every month a cutely wrapped box is delivered to my doorstep containing five baby products that work great for the age and gender and my baby. So far I have gotten everything from baby leg warmers, to cookies that help with milk production, to hand made rattles. 

It allows you to try some new products and discover ones you did not even know existed. As a gift you can purchase them in different time increments to fit your budget. You can also give a Shower Stack that you could bring to a shower, then tell her about the fun boxes that will arrive in the months to come. 

The packaging is adorable and so far I have loved all of the products I have received. Can't wait to see what is next!

Weekend Wish: Fancy Flowers

What girl does not love fresh flowers? Either delivered from your love, picked fresh from the garden and arranged, or picked up at the local farmer's market, they make every girl happy. Arranging flowers is so much harder than you would think. Throwing them in a vase just does not look as great as if a professional did it. And while we would all love to live like a Waldorf and have fresh flowers strewn all over, perfectly arranged, it just does not seem attainable for reality.


Or is it??


H.Bloom is a subscription flower service that delivers gorgeous arrangements to you as often as you want based on your style. It is also very affordable with arrangements starting at $35. By the time you buy your favorite flowers at Whole Foods and get them in a vase, you probably spent much of that and do not love the result.

They do not deliver everywhere yet, but check out the site and see if it would work for you. How amazing would this be as a wedding gift or for a new mom? Now we can all get a little fantasy into our homes.
