Simple & Smart: The Shirtdress

Everyone needs a few work horses in the closet. Something that is good for work and for play. And can be styled a million different ways. 

Last week I discovered that this shirtdress really is this piece. 

Not that it is groundbreaking, but it really made me want a couple more to have on hand.

I am crushing hard on sneakers with dresses. All of the shirt dresses I pulled would look so great with a pair you probably already have. 

Shirt dresses also work great with tights and leggings paired with boots or booties, then heels for meetings and dinner out. And layering a blazer or jacket smartens it up even more.

Losing the Leggings

While I try to not wear leggings ALL winter long, it pretty much happens. An every day look of soft leggings or your favorite skinnies with a blousey long top is just so easy to put together. And really it can be pulled together so chicly, even if your leggings are form Target. When it gets warmer, it is easy to just lose the leggings and throw on a shirt dress. Something that looks good enough to wear to work, dinner out, or running errands by just switching your accessories. These cool girls seem to get it. 

These are some cute options for this summer. Throw on with tights and a leather jacket come Fall and you will get so much wear out of it.

Football Pride: On & Off the Field

Ultimately, what always comes back as my favorite part of Fall is football season. Be it college or NFL, it just feels right when the leaves start to change and Saturdays and/or Sundays can be spent watching every game. 

And though it is kind of cheesy, I am into showing your pride. Looks like Pink has given us a few options besides over sized jerseys. They have these for every NFL team, clearly you know my favorite....

Yep, those are Bears undies (#4). That way you can show some pride under any of your chic weekend pieces. No one will know, except...
